Converse is one of the most trusted names in basketball shoes and the great American sneaker. Chuck Taylor’s, as the high tops are typically known, continue to be as popular today as they were in 1917 when the first basketball shoe was put on the market. And the basic design of the shoe hasn’t changed much since that time either. And the fact that they have become the favorite shoe of each new generation of sneaker wearers testifies not only to their quality of design and manufacturing, but also to their basic coolness.

Converse high tops are the preferred basketball shoe for tons of teenagers. If you want to test the idea, just drive by a few parks and look over at the basketball courts . Count the number of Chucks you see versus the various other options available. In addition, these canvas shoes remain affordably priced. And one other thing that makes them extremely attractive to many people is that they’re made right here in the USA. And as the trend for outsourcing continues to sweep the nation, companies such as Converse should receive special recognition. Okay, let’s start with keep them in their spot at number one all time best selling basketball shoe.
